The MBA offers competitive travel basketball teams for boys and girls in grades 4-8. Travel teams typically practice twice a week starting in November and play games on the weekends against towns and communities outside of Montgomery. The season runs from November through mid-March.
Team members must be Montgomery or Rocky Hill residents in the current grade of tryout. The travel program will hold tryouts for boys and girls in grades 4-8 in September/October (specific days/times to follow). Eighth grade boys tryouts will be set closer to and coordinated around Middle School tryouts in November and will be based on the needs of the group. In some years, where there is sufficient interest, we may form pre-travel teams for 3rd grade at the end of the winter recreation season. We make this decision on a year-by-year basis and will inform families accordingly.
