Recreation
Kindergarten – Fourth & Fifth – Twelfth Divisions
K – 4th
5th – 12th
The primary mission of the MBA K–4th Recreation basketball program is to provide a fun and safe environment in which players can learn the game, improve their skills, and have fun playing with their friends.
Sessions will be held on Saturday or Sunday and include a focus on basic skills (dribbling, passing, shooting and defense) for the first half of the session followed by scrimmages. Teams will be made with every effort to evenly balance the skill level. This is a fun, non-competitive league with an emphasis on good sportsmanship and teamwork.

The MBA 5th–12th Recreation basketball program offers a level of competitive play with a focus on building skills and having fun. Within the leagues, there are individual teams. The MBA works to create balanced teams with the goal to ensure that all players have a positive and fun experience.
Individual team coaches set their practice schedules (one night Monday-Thursday for one hour). The coach will share the practice schedule in their welcome email. Coaches will make every effort to accommodate practice conflicts. If a conflict still exists, your child will be allowed to attend practice with another team during the week.
